It seems that the brazen nature of Witkoff's shilling for the Kremlin is too much for even Republican politicians to ignore.

But they should be demanding more than for a flunky to be fired, they should be demanding the impeachment of their autocratic President.

The OBR could not be clearer today. Weak growth is tied to Brexit, which they now expect will leave UK trade 15% smaller in the long term.

The OBR is clear that the UK’s trade slump is being made worse by Brexit, which continues to drag on growth at the very moment we need the opposite.

As the Budget concludes, Sir John Major's words are more relevant than ever. Both the Labour Government and Conservative opposition are being wretchedly timid in their policy aspirations. They must confront the consequences of Brexit if they want to prevent further damage.

Well, that's the end of the Witkoff farce.

Once again we're reminded that the way to secure the freedom of Ukraine and the security of Europe is for Russia to be defeated.

With a faltering economy Russia can be defeated.

Tougher sanctions and more financial & military support for Ukraine. Now!
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated there can be no talk of concessions or backing down from key objectives in the so-called "special military operation." A clear signal that Moscow isn't planning to shift its course anytime soon.

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.

"The problem of Britain’s future relationship with the EU can’t be reduced to technical adjustments and border mechanisms when the whole geopolitical order is in tumultuous flux. "

Exactly @rafaelbehr.bsky.social, UK govt must set out a real vision for the UK's European future to make progress.

Can we get this petition past 100,000 signatures this week?

Let's try!

The USA isn't the only democracy being undermined by Russian money and agents.

We need a full investigation into the extent of Russia's interference in Brexit and UK elections.

This must end any remaining doubt about the true motivations of Trump's "peace" envoy.

Bloomberg has obtained a transcript of a phone call in which Witkoff advised the Russian government on how to pitch the strongy pro-Kremlin so-called "peace plan" to Trump.

The idea that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner could do anything "in good faith" is frankly, risible.

Hopefully the revised proposal defends Ukraine's sovereignty and Europe's security.

Putin will likely reject it, in which case Russia must be squeezed some more.

UK Govt's treatment of refugees is appalling.

Which knuckle-draggers did they focus-group to come up with it?

If somebody with refugee status is contributing to and participating in our society after 5 years they should be given ILR.

There's nothing an extra 15 years of insecurity can prove!
At least 160,000 people have been granted refugee status over the past five years. It now seems they are intended to be caught by the Government’s plans to make refugees wait up to 20 years for settlement - even for those just months away from ILR
