The MBTA is running trains with two bike cars on the Fitchburg line this Saturday and it sounds like buying a ticket (more than the typical weekend fare deal though) guarantees you a bike slot, and they are also running guided bike rides on the Bruce freeman rail trail http://www.mbta.com/fallride
