Hi hi! I wanted to provide a better introduction than my bio for whomever may find me. I'm Cal. I'm 21 and primarily interested in modular synths and video games (FInal Fantasy and Limbus Company mostly), with a bit of anime on the side. Despite that, I will largely use BSK to post various things.

THREAD. After a tough few months (involving my ex-publisher Unbound ceasing to pay their authors, then disintegrating) I am enormously relieved to reveal Joe McLaren's fantastic cover for my 3rd novel.
The book will be published on September 11th.
I believe it's the best thing I've ever written.

I know posting "the girls are fighting" seems funny, but it's actually insensitive and shitty.
My father died in a girl fight. He tried to break it up and the girls pulled him apart like freshly baked bread. He didn't even scream. One moment he was there, the next just a spray of dad viscera.

Reading is a 5 hour drive away and I probably could never make the trip (though I want to, badly), but I am going to be distraught over a limited amount of seating in the MERL café today. I'm sat in one of the limited spaces in my mind, sad there aren't as many people as there could've been.
Maintenance update: hi everyone, a quick note that maintenance is happening at the museum today, which has required us to close the garden and limit the amount of available café seating.

that homestuck community survey is still so wild because like. Caliborn made it into Most Disliked?? you have "hes the villain i HAVE to hate him" brain. hes like THE funniest guy in the comic. he's AS funny as Gamzee would need to be for Gamzee's repeated returns to not frustrate me.
