I find it kinda funny how Toaplan-style shooters were the dominant form of the genre throughout most of the 90's, then Toaplan became Cave and still to this day Cave shmups feel like the template most design their games around

So the new Sunsoft revival title is a sequel to Ripple Island...that's an Overcooked clone?
Gotta be one of the most miscellaneous game sequel ideas of all time, like at least with Ikki Unite copying Vampire Survivors it was still a top-down shooter
