Why anyone dignifies the Coalition with the pretence that they have the slightest clue what they want or what they're talking about is a complete mystery. Labor is a craven capitulation machine, but the Coalition make One Nation look coherent and principled.
Politicising Bondi backfires for Liberals who got what they asked for
Federal Liberals are discovering the price of having been so brazen in their politicisation of the Bondi terror attack and many appear to have buyers' remorse.

Some thoughts on Adelaide Writers' Week and the moment we find ourselves in. It's all just so grinding. rick-morton.ghost.io/the-great-si...
The Great Silencing
Last week it snowed heavily twice in Paris, turning the city into a frigid, monochrome fantasy land over three days, and at the weekend I popped into the Musée Marmottan Monet for a spot of impression...

Louise Adler is an incredible warrior for Australian Art & Writing.
Having donors, politicians or lobbyists on arts boards ends in (amongst others) censorship, defunded programs and nepotism.
Arts in Australia must be run by artists.
The Adelaide Festival is an example of why.

The best cartoonists, like court jesters of yore, tell truth to power.

Cathy Wilcox is one of the best cartoonists, and she's being cruelly punished.
When this blows over I might have to share some of the emails I’ve received over the days which really make me wonder why I am the one accused of hatred. There is deep unresolved trauma being spewed by some of these people and we cannot consent to living according to their warped reality.
