Again, he said, “Kiss me.” Stede kissed him like he wanted nothing more. Ed was pulling him, backwards, down. He said, “Kiss me, Stede.” Stede followed, and there was no room for Jesus, and their hips didn’t politely keep apart. “I am,” Stede said, and kissed him. “I am, Ed,” he said, and kissed him again.
