Join me for an afternoon of slow magic, cozy vibes, and story-laced conversation.

There will be books, vignette, and maybe a few whispered secrets from Emerdeen.

Bring your questions, your curiosity and your love of all things whimsical.

The messages, the whispered “me too’s,” the quiet encouragement from friends, family and beautifully curious strangers—each one has felt like a thread in the tapestry.

Thank you for helping me remember what I sometimes forget: that stories matter.

I never thought I would be alive to see the fall of democracy. But more importantly, I never thought it would be so easy for them.

It’s like they’ve been planning it all along.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Seems like the real ‘office’ of the future is a cozy coffee shop with a strong Wi-Fi signal and an unlimited refill policy. Small businesses are thriving, and guess what? Top talent is choosing flexibility over fluorescent lighting.

Where do you choose to work?

Breathing In: "I am strong."

Breathing Out: "I let go of fear."

Recommended morning and night, and as needed.

Presidents’ Day falls during #BlackHistoryMonth, and the #BHM2025 theme focuses on labor.

Today is a good day to learn about the over 300 known enslaved men, women and children who built and staffed the White House.

Their story is part of the fabric of American history.

Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.

Seems obvious, right?

Stress and anxiety dehydrates your muscles and brain.

Symptoms of dehydration include pounding heart, extreme fatigue, jittery feeling inside your cells and dizziness bordering on vertigo.

Hydrate, my friends. Trust me.

Listen to your body.

I slept 12 hours without interruption last night.

Listen to your body.

I have napped on and off this afternoon.

Listen to your body.

Prioritize you … even when it isn’t convenient for others.

Listen to your body.

It translates for your soul.

Cancelling plans is okay. Putting yourself first is okay. Going for a long walk is okay. Abandoning society is okay. Moving into a cave with a family of raccoons is okay. Giving them tiny swords & shields is okay. Do what you need to do to cope.

If one more person asks me how I am doing I will scream.

How are you doing in our first public coup and hostile takeover, Donna?

Peachy keen.

I may have given into anxiety and ordered enough groceries for a month because I fear empty shelves again.

Self care can look different in a coup.

David took Starbuck to school and left Freddie out of his crate.

Back home he found a plate in pieces on the floor that had sweet & sour chicken leftovers on it.

Jazzy had sticky sauce on her face and today Freddie is having gastro issues.

Dogs & toddlers - not that different.
