For the first time since 1993, the Trump admin has issued instructions *not* to commemorate World AIDS Day.

Erasing our history won’t erase the epidemic. Silence = Death.

Today, however, Lambda Legal honors the ongoing fight for the rights and dignity of people living with HIV. ❤️

It’s not just Trump that’s getting this wrong. Local jurisdictions across Washington are increasingly hostile to harm reduction practices and policies that could actually reduce demand and make a real difference.

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

And many (most?) are being detained in these locations, confined with no end or plan for release. And unsurprisingly, it’s proven extraordinarily difficult to get them out.
ICE has now sent at least 72 people to prisons in African countries where they have no ties.

Via two ICE flights to Rwanda, two to Eswatini, three to Ghana and one to S. Sudan.

Some had US convictions but had finished their sentences. None have convictions in the places where they're now jailed.

Now is not the time to expand government surveillance.
The Seattle City Council has rushed this decision without fully engaging with the communities who are most vulnerable to the harm these technologies create.

It's time to say NO to expanding government surveillance, and invest in community-backed solutions that work.

Chattel slavery was so bad that when we tell you how bad it in fact was most of y'all shut down and tell us we're making it up and pass laws against us ever telling you how bad it was again because your brains literally cannot handle how bad it in fact was.
"How bad slavery was" is worse. Much worse. Much worse than you think, much worse than you're taught, much worse than museums depict. Worse.

Here's what SPD's proposed expansion of CCTV looks like. It isn't expanding into just certain areas, its going citywide.

I flagged this in April and have been howling it into the void. Trump wants Black & Latino incarcerated U.S. citizens sent to CECOT in El Salvador, Congo, South Sudan. These are the “homegrown” Trump talked about with the Salvadoran PM.

Please. Take this seriously.
