Apparently there was a big fire in the #everglades yesterday. On a rare weekday drive down I-75, I saw a brilliant sun set through the smoke and haze. Even though I was at my destination, I did a quick U-turn and got back on the highway to find a good spot to take a photo.

I fell in love with filming fireworks over New Years, so I made it a point to try and get more footage. Fourt of July was perfect, and it also served as an impromptu pizza date!

Our Dreame L10 Pro Vacuum had a little accident and broke its front caster wheel. The wheel is locked with a washer from the inside, and the only way to get to it is by a near complete teardown.

It's my beautiful wife's birthday today, and to celebrate we did a shoot at a local studio.
Shot with a Sony A7c and Minolta 50mm Macro lens. Lighting was provided with a pair of Yonguo off camera flashes. A Flashpoint 300 strobe with an optical projector was used for the light projections.

Finally got around to replacing the motherboard in one of my Proxmox servers. The old motherboard was a dual Xeon CPU Super Micro board with low power V2 Xeons. The new board is a single low power V4 Xeon.

A little winter hardware project, using an @adafruit.com ESP32-S3 TFT Feather to build a macro keyboard I can use to control Plex and provide a rotary knob interface for programs like Lightroom. Build list in the comments.

I couldn't sleep last night so I started on a filterable spreadsheet of the best free PC games around. Sort by genre, system requirements, multiplayer, etc, F2P status, etc.
Still got lots to fill in, but I think I've made great progress for one day. Check it out and suggest more additions!
