One thing that really sucks about this:
We don’t know the origin of COVID with any certainty.
There is evidence stacked on both sides.
Turning the lab leak theory into a political hit job/conspiracy page, though, will make it harder for reasonable folks to keep an open mind.
Lab Leak: The True Origins of Covid-19
THE ORIGIN “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” publication — which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak

Y’know how in crime movies there’s that subplot where the administration is secretly working with the crime family to keep control over things?

Welcome to El Salvador, where the US Treasury has sanctioned the guy in charge of the prisons where Trump is illegally disappearing people.

Just a billionaire treating politics like billionaires treat business:
If I do something good (profitable) the praise (profit) is all mine.
If I do something bad (losses) the responsibility (losses) is all someone else’s.
Yes, Trump does have political instincts. And you can often tell when Trump senses a topic is a political loser because he claims to know very little about it and starts passing the buck.
Trump: "You're talking about Abrego Garcia -- is an illegal alien MS-13 gang member and foreign terrorist. This comes out of the State Department and very legitimate sources I assume. I'm just giving you what they handed to me but this is supposed to be certified stuff."

Good - now move him to “comparatively better” conditions on a plane headed back to the US, along with all the other men sent down there in defiance of Judge Boasbergs order, and give them all the due process guaranteed under law.
At a press conference, Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen said that Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been moved from the notoriously harsh CECOT prison in El Salvador to a different facility where the conditions are comparatively better.

He met with Abrego Garcia yesterday at his hotel.

Did you know Chumbawumba was a leftist political group who set politics aside for one record and had their one hit?
The world should have listened to more Chumbawumba.

I know Trump has defied SCOTUS and thrown us into a constitutional crisis today, but I just wanna remind everyone that Bill Maher had dinner with him and said he’s not like this in private, so I’m sure we’ll all be fine.

Anyone know where to place a bet on Schumer “fight(ing) it in every single way”? I’ve gotta make up for those stock market losses somewhere.
Schumer: "If he defies the Supreme Court, then we are in uncharted territory ... our entire democracy is at risk. I believe that if Donald Trump should defy the courts, the public will rise up. Democrats will fight it in every single way ... autocrats only succeed if the public lets them."

important context about the concentration camps in el salvador:
April 14, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Trump:
Can’t get Russia to abide by a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Can’t get Bukele to return someone when the US is paying El Salvador millions to detain them.

Can’t get Xi to negotiate a trade deal.

Trump is a weak POTUS, posing with a muscle-suit that is easily deflated by the slightest defiance.

Further unfolding of the American police state & gulag: 1) seizure of land as "military bases" to be able to use military against civilians. It's quaint that experts in the article think Posse Comitatus will hold and that being challenged in courts will stop the Trump admin.
April 14, 2025 at 8:42 PM
The private prison industry in the US cannot be happy with the idea that so many of their sources of income will be shipped to other countries, where the US will pay as much if not more for their detainment.
April 14, 2025 at 8:21 PM
No denying at this point that we’re in a constitutional crisis with the admin refusing to obey the orders of the highest court in the land, so…what now?
