Megathread of pro-trans petitions on Parliament’s petition website. If Labour suddenly gets hit with debates for a bunch of pro-trans petitions, maybe they’ll realise this issue isn’t going away and they’ve fucked up.

I’ll add more as I find them.

Silence, responsibilities. The TTRPG characters that live in my head are speaking, and they say "open another google doc".

Ohh ohh I have thoughts about this!

Yeah, older games were not better optimized. Bugs would often stick, or become features (Look at the speed increase in Space Invaders this was actually a performance issue).
So then why do "games these days" seem so buggy?
Complexity in all its forms, my friend.
One of those growing bits of ahistorical nonsense I see online is 'Games were just optimized better in the old days'.

Like fuck they were. The entire history of videogames is stuff barely running on intended hardware. Why do you think we've had ultra-low graphics options available since hte 90s?

At the start of my current work I told my producer "I have an idea of how I'm going to code the Word Search. I've got no idea how to code the Colouring Book right now."

Cut to a few weeks later & the word search has consistently kicked my ass throughout, while the colouring book was easy 😅 #gamedev

I spent the afternoon getting a test build uploaded to Steam.
After it was up I sat back & saw my friends & colleagues beside me also hard at work.
It's our first time putting a game on steam. Suddenly it feels real.
There's more to do before we release anything but this is a big milestone for us!
