I will wake up angry every single day that Kamala Harris is not our president. Our country is full of racism, misogyny, and pervasive misinformation (with the media having abjectly failed the American public). To quote the snotty maitre d’ in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, I weep for the future.

The dripping contempt the right wing SCOTUS majority holds for district judges is truly a sight to behold every time. When they deign to give actual reasons for their shadow docket holdings, it’s “look at the absolute idiots who keep getting everything wrong!”

Constantly caving to fascist republicans and the orange felon to once again insulate them from political fallout after openly working to destroy people’s lives in various ways is how democracy dies.

This right here.
Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

I am sick, disabled, & elderly, & I find ways to resist from bed. I can write emails, texts, and snail mail to city, state, and federal representatives. I can send cards via VoteForward.org to registered Democrats who haven't voted. I can remind family & friends to vote. That's just for starters.
Vote Forward
Vote Forward volunteers send heartfelt handwritten letters to unregistered and low-propensity voters encouraging them to participate in our democracy. The letters have been shown to significantly boos...

Two days ago, he took a shit on the American people. Today, he began demolishing the People’s House. That’s all he does. He shits on people, and he destroys things. Bcuz he’s a horrible person. I blame him a lot for the death & destruction he’s caused. I blame his enablers & his appeasers even more.

A bunch of government accounts joined Bluesky today, and it seems very likely they intend to trawl the timeline for statements they can spin as inflammatory or insidious. I’m denying them access to my posts, and I suggest you do the same. Here’s how to do it in one click.

Hey @jaketapper.bsky.social, I'm no expert on cognitive illnesses, but it feels a bit detached from reality for a sitting POTUS to forget that he was in power during an attack on the U.S. Capitol, doesn't it? Do you know anyone in journalism with experience covering dementia-like symptoms?

We have the timidity of countless corporate and university GCs to thank for the fact DEI is treated as though it were illegal.
lol gentle reminder that DEI is not illegal. Supporting marginalized groups is not illegal. Anyone reneging on support is making a CHOICE to do so.

It’ll always anger and disgust me that instead of sending a dangerous deranged criminal traitor dictator wannabe to jail where he belongs, people decided to send him back to the White House with full power to continue his destructive vengeance tour.

A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.
