From the economic consequences of Mr. Trump: a country that imposes tariffs makes things worse for itself…self inflicted wounds of higher unemployment and greater inequality. Joe Biden indeed.

Trumpy’s address in two sentences: Everything is perfect. And, to the extent it’s not perfect, then it’s all Biden’s fault. Nevermind Biden left a perfectly good economy in January, one that he is quickly destroying for his own profit. He never ever takes any responsibility for any of his disasters.

Delayed swearing in and now pepper sprayed.

Congressional duty for Democrats is dangerous today in the age of wanna-be lawless leaders.

Any word on American help for Jamaica as it deals with one of the world’s worst hurricanes? Or are American military assets in the region only for bombing small boats and invading Venezuela? Haven’t heard a peep.

I believe this is known as treason.

I was in the news business for only 4 decades, so maybe I don't know much. But it seems like the transformation of the U.S. into a police state would be worth a headline and a few paragraphs.

This. Is. It. It’s here now.

The Founder of NPR’s All Things Considered speaks truth to power. The failure of Congress to heed these words makes us a poorer country. This will cost us who we are, not save money. All of Public Broadcasting costs less than one jet fighter or one drone missile.

This is a tragedy; killing USAID and weakening public broadcasting will haunt this administration through history. And the vote to accept this in Congress is likewise tragic. As a nation, we are shooting ourselves in our brains.

Are there just 4 GOP Senators with spines who support public broadcasting and USAID? Trump is very worried: CPB, NPR & PBS are “worse than CNN & MSDNC put together…Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement.”

No Recision!

Read this. Disaster awaits us at every turn, every level. Excellent column, as usual from Mr. Wolf.
Opinion: 'In just under six months, only an eighth of his term, Trump has made huge strides in his war on everything that made the US successful. Only the Maga base, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping should feel happy,' writes Martin Wolf. https://on.ft.com/44kK8j1

Bill Moyers was indeed a journalist of enormous integrity. He was a crusader against political corruption. I can only imagine how critical he would be about our cashing-in, crypto President.

I hope Republicans are asking themselves, what if a Democratic Party leader did half of the crazy, corrupt and illegal things Trump is doing? They will never have any standing to object when the shoe is on the other foot. They will forever be utterly and completely discredited.

He’s always been a paid Russian agent hiding behind the American flag. Putin is getting everything he ever wanted from the internal destruction of American strength, government and society, instigated by our corrupt so-called leader.
If you want peace in Ukraine, pressure Russia. If you want war, don’t. The Trump people only make concessions. Which is exactly what the Kremlin expected. The US through its astounding weakness is making the war longer and bloodier than it has to be.
⚡️Trump says US will not impose new sanctions on Russia.

“Because I think there’s a chance of getting something done, and if you do that, you could also make it much worse," Trump told reporters from the Oval Office on May 19.
