There's a certain level of clueless optimism and aimless "we got this" attitude in some Obama-era pop music that is really grating to me. I didn't realize at the time why I didn't like it but now those songs feel especially lacking in perspective.

at this point, I've just been muting generative AI accounts and mass following actual artists if they're remotely in line with my tastes. anyone who gives a shit about your follower ratio can suck it. follow every artist you fuck with.

Starting a playthrough of Morrowind with a khajiit thief I'm naming after my cat, Frankie, and I'm not sure I can match his power level in this game. Gonna need more mods.

Yoshitaka Amano Gex art is insanity. I wonder if he knew what Gex was before being asked to do this.

My mom found this Darkman jacket she got when she ran a video store and she's giving it to me 😭 little does she know it's going to become the only thing I wear in hopes of running into Sam Raimi on the streets.

Due to the cost of everything rn, I've only been able to go to the theater twice this year so far, but my uncle just surprise invited me to go see Sinners tonight and I feel truly grateful for this

Really need a digital release of The Amateur because I saw so much potential for some high quality group chat reaction images.

It's unfortunate that my ideal job is in a video game that takes place in Japan. Running a lil Cafe & Bar that's next to a lil river? Serving coffee til sunset and making cocktails at night? Not trying to maximize customers, just being the place people wanna come to.

On one hand, I think there was definitely a LOT of focus on marketing towards kids when I was younger, but I also think this was a good choice because it was very apparent. Parents could catch on to something being marketed towards their kids and make choices. Now it's all on screens they don't see.
Just found out this style or "aesthetic" was called Wacky Pomo.

This marketing aesthetic was seen from the 1990s to the mid 2000s and looked exaggerated, playful, or absurd because it was mostly aimed at kids.

Feels weird and a bit predatory that you can pay taxes with a credit card.
Not that I'm complaining since that's my only option.
What a great year to not get a refund for the first time ever.

that major league baseball isn't called "major league baseballs" is a perpetuation of the one-baseball myth, one easily dispelled in the age of streaming. one can now simultaneously watch two games, in different cities, played with different baseballs. mlb does not use one ball and hasn't since 1997
