Imagine still using Twitter.
Users are noticing Twitter/X has added a Grok-powered AI image editor that lets anyone edit any image on the platform, including other people’s artwork using text prompts.

Artists warn there’s no opt-out or consent, raising concerns over unauthorized edits and misuse.

3 years ago I started work on a SIGNALIS video essay. It ended up feature length, and subsequently sat on my hard drive as a rough cut.

Until today.

After numerous passes, I've finally hit publish on The Emotional Horror of SIGNALIS.

Hell can be a place of healing.

This is one hell of a video essay. The construction and execution here is punching well above the bar. Keep your eye on Cristian.

I wrote about how The Game Awards is a mirror that reflects the industry back at us, and what their continued success says about who we are, what the industry is, and what we value. Almost none of it is good.

Does anyone have examples of good/valuable content you get via Patreon or whatever that isn't just unedited/live versions of stuff the creator is already making?

Putting a lot of thought into some opportunities for Critical Error!

man the flip on Expedition 33 is hilarious - i can’t decide if it’s a lack of due diligence followed by a sudden realization or if folks are just jumping on the band wagon, but damn, let’s try and research our GOTYs a bit harder next year folks.

I genuinely wish we cared about anything. Anything at all.

But nah, man. It's "buy the genocide console! Buy the war crimes Game Boy! Nothing matters! It's totally cool and normal to cover this, and even cooler and more normal to want to spend money on it!

Buy! Buy! Buy! You exist to consume!"

if you're disgusted by this but not participating in the BDS Boycott of Xbox as an individual or entity, quit clutching your pearls and stfu. sorry your image of the Game Boy isn't as whimsical as it once was.

trans kids should have access to healthcare. same as cis kids. ANYTHING that their parents and doctors think would have a positive impact. Not complicated.

I've been an Xbox Live subscriber since the Xbox 360 (almost 20 years). I've joined the boycott and have cancelled my GamePass subscription. it’s equally weird how many self-described independent games outlets still default to status-quo coverage of microsoft/xbox.

makes me wonder what we think “independent” even means.

i just don't get it. there are so many "social justice warriors" on Bluesky that are a part of this industry, but i guess the giving a shit stops there? is being uncomfortable in solidarity with folks suffering too hard? are you unable to look past your toys and hear the call to be a human being?

Please do not purchase Luck be a Landlord on Xbox. I will be making a $10,000 donation to The Palestine Children's Relief Fund to (hopefully) help offset the revenue the game has generated for Microsoft.

not trying to stand up for any corporation here, but what is described below is a VERY common practice in the workplace - we're all being pushed to incorporate AI into our everyday tasks and processes. using AI to "touch up" a PowerPoint is code for "we had to say we tried".

What makes this extra funny is that the only reason I go back to Twitter is international journalists, which means that they're just mad American pundits and journos have bailed
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!
