Today is the first day of National #LightningSafety Awareness Week.

On Sunday, we like to deal with the basics.

Starting with how to spell #lightning!

Lightning is the giant electric spark that occurs during a thunderstorm. In the U.S., it kills around 20 people annually.

Back home safe and sound with my child after, by far, the scariest 20 hours of my life. 🙏
I can’t say enough about the phenomenal care she got from Oklahoma ER Hosital, EMSA crews, and the pediatric cardiologists and nurses at OU Children’s. Forever, forever grateful.

It's that time of year again.

News media and other organizations are starting to talk about #LightningSafety.

Tip 1: Adjust your plans so you're not outside when thunderstorms are around

Tip 2: When thunder roars, go indoors!

Tip 3: If you get caught outside, keep moving towards a safe place!
