Crazy-windy cold front in northeastern IL.
Like, I don’t think I’ll be able to take my walk today. It’s that windy.
Woke up to patio cushions and flower pots blown all over the yard.
Our old wood fence is swaying, and Idk if it’s going to last the day tbh. I hope so.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

This is what happens when the GOP has a trifecta & while blinking first looks bad, it shows that Democrats are more interested in ending the shutdown than the GOP even if it looks bad to the base & by looking at which senators voted for cloture, it should be obvious that the vote was strategic.
