The reason this phenomenon matters and is worth talking about is because acknowledging how many underestimated the threat of Trump over the last decade underscores for us that it is time for that underestimation to end forever. Every person who loves democracy needs to be on the same page on this.

These guys want conflict with blue states. They want to ensure there is nowhere safe. This is a threat and the question is whether any governors will step up and push back.
