Corporate governance of USA (& elsewhere) began with Lewis Powell's 1971 memo to US Chamber of Commerce, regarded as a blueprint.

You can't possum your way out of a koala decline. That's not how bioDIVERSITY works. FFS.
As if carbon offsets weren’t a big enough fraud…welcome to the world of ‘biodiversity offsets’…sure the idea failed dismally in NSW but Murray Watt is keen to have a crack…

what could go wrong?

Just even more extinctions i suppose…#climate #nature

How many extra possums does it take to compensate for a dead platypus?
That’s the kind of calculation a bureaucrat would literally have to make under Environment Minister Murray Watt’s new ‘environmental laws’.

Smart business people & investors would be supporting action to reduce CO2 emissions & global warming.

After all, if you were in the golden eggs business you wouldn't kill the golden goose, would you.

Obviously this doesn't apply to short-sighted folk who mine, burn or flog fossil fuels.

Now hear this:

Germany has resumed supplying arms to Israel.

(Israel's IDF is still killing Palestinians in Gaza Strip).

France will sell 100 Rafale jets & missile defence systems to Ukraine.

War is good for business. No doubt about it.

President Donald Duc/// oops Trump has addressed (if you can call it that) the fast food industry.

My Dog, you shd read the comments below that post.

He's demented, or insane, or both, would be among most polite comments.

OMG! Ran into my first face-to-face conspiracy nutter.

Anything said abt anything triggers him.

*Zionists running the world past 500 years.*

*Everything is a corporation. Every institution. Everything.*

Told him I couldn't agree on anything he was saying & didn't want to hear more.

He laughed.

Victoria's Deputy Premier Ben Carroll, commenting on today's Liberal leadership spill, said the change replaced the jockey on the same old horse.

Spent 5 hours weeding L-shaped garden bed. Backbreaking work.

Decided to cover bed with plastic sheeting, sugar cane mulch.

3 x 4-hr days later, measuring, cutting, cut outs, moving border rocks, fitting, replacing rocks -- job's abt half done.

If trees & bushes affected, I'll hv to undo it all.

Australia's Liberal (Conservatives) party is still trying to figure out what it stands for after consecutive smashing defeats.

Their smaller partner, The Nationals, is dictating energy policy.

Meanwhile, in Victoria, Liberal newbie Jess Wilson has replaced Brad Battin after 1 year as Opp'n leader.

Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva was finally sworn in on Nov 12, 50 days after winning her Arizona seat.

She immediately signed a discharge petition calling for release of Epstein files.

That wldn't hv anything to do with Trump now asking House of Rep Republicans to vote for their release, would it?

This is what I told my Dad last night:

The TACO presidency is not over, but his aura of invincibility is.

It’s not one thing. It’s the cumulative effect of a shit economy, wildly unpopular tariffs, ICE terrorizing communities, his flip flopping on H-1B visas, redistricting not going all that well

Most people know it's a crime (in civilised countries) to conceal a crime -- like allegations against Jeffrey Epstein et al.

They know this not because they have a Law degree (LLB) but because they are fans of cops shows, detective shows, courtroom dramas, etc.

Trump watches a lot of tv.

A long time ago (probs before you were born) LNP PM Billy McMahon was asked abt the party's East Timor (now Timor-Leste) policy.

"Our policy on that is quite clear," Bill replied.

"We have not yet decided what our policy will be."

And so it goes, with LNP, altogether too often.

Between posts I've been fitting plastic sheeting to an L-shaped garden bed I weeded last week (5 hours back-breaking work).

Cut-outs & workarounds for trees, bushes & curve.

Plastic will be deep covered with sugar cane mulch. Overkill.

I don't want to weed the bugger again.

According to Labor PM Anthony 'Albo' Albanese the LNP Coal-ition hv hd 23 energy policies in past 10 years -- because they couldn't "land" one of them.

24 if you count the one they came up with at the weekend, with affordable & "fair" prices.

I thought it was 20. Hard to keep up, eh.

Anyone who gets a mention in the Epstein files (Trump now wants them released) will no doubt get a pardon from President Donald Trump.

After all, the guy has form.

Pardons R Us, any crook, any time, you're welcome.
November 17, 2025 at 4:21 AM
LNP Opposition's latest energy policy includes "affordable and fair energy prices".

Affordable is just a hook. No idea what "fair" is related to.

So far there's been no explanation of either word & there's not likely to be, until just before next election -- maybe.

Well waddayerknow! Donald Trump has asked House Republicans to vote for release of the Epstein files.

Says "We have nothing to hide." But some people do.

When it comes down to you or Trump, it's gonna be you who gets it.

He might hv seen my morning post about "complicity", abt failure to report.

This is so so disturbing. Trump is now pardoning January 6th rioters for unrelated crimes, just to reward them for their violence to keep him in power.

The Republican Party is in the full time business of endorsing and incentivizing political violence. So scary.

Will citizens of USA be asked to vote to end their democracy or will they have it imposed on them?

Some fear Donald Trump's MAGA will overturn the apple cart.

Last election campaign "... after four years you won't have to vote again". -- Donald Trump.

Re Epstein files, to release or not to release.

Failure to report a crime is a crime itself.

Aiding, hiding, assisting or protecting criminals is a crime.

Being an accessory "after the fact" is a punishable offence.

Trump Admin looking like a Gangster regime.

"Affordability" -- part of LNP Coal-ition's brand new energy policy.

"Affordability" is about as loose a definition as you can get.

Therefore, "Affordability" is the policy you have when you don't have a policy.

This was a part of the 2025 manifesto. All Republicans knew it was the plan. All Republicans have supported Trump & his nominees to enact & carry out the plan. When they pretend they are concerned about its effects on their constituents, they aren’t. Hold them all accountable!
