@techconnectify.bsky.social Don't suppose you've seen the "minimal phone" with a hardware keyboard and eink display: minimalcompany.com

I'm sure the display won't be a nightmare to use like every other attempt to use eink for general display purposes!

Getting a survey done on a *fourth* attempted house purchase today.

Place your bets on what catastrophe they will find. For reference in the last place a poorly removed chimney breast was about to collapse the entire stack.

This is why you shouldn’t trust the assisted dying bill in its current state.

There are no good billionaires, not one.
Got to say I LOVE the Trump Administration negotiating to get Rare Minerals from Ukraine, for 2 reasons:
1. It reduces our dependence on China for Lithium and Graphite (China provides near 70% of world supply)
2. More than 50% of those minerals are in Russian Annexed land.

And of course my third attempt to buy a house has stumbled with the survey revealing illegally done unsafe work in the chimneys in the loft.

Why is fate so against me owning a home?

The British government have had a raging hard on over the idea of breaking online encryption for almost two decades now.

They’ve finally achieved it and now the wall has been broken and the British people are heading to a less secure future.

Had that meme thing where you get wax and a stick put up your nose and it ripped out at the barbers.

Christ alive it hurt but man if my nose isn't smooth as anything on the inside.

Sick as a dog. Who could have known having a toddler cough in your mouth for her entire nap time would do such a thing

Now on my third attempt to buy a house, with the added bonus of completing in 6 weeks before the stamp duty relief changes.

Hopefully no one crashes the economy or dies this time round.

Christ the assisted dying bill hasn’t even passed yet and they’re trying to water it down.

So Elon Musk just straight up has full unrestricted access to the entire US government's payment systems? And he's seemingly just unilaterally stopping congressionally mandated payments?

Seems very illegal

Honestly the main thing these tariffs have taught me so far is the fact that Canada really loves state run alcohol monopolies.

Only really knew about that being a thing in Nordic countries

Anyone else find it incredibly discomforting that one of the points is basically "Dairy company can't exploit eastern european workers anymore" and two others are "There's been too many (implied dark skinned) immigrants entering since"?
Sure it was shit.

Yeah it cost billions and achieved sweet FA.

But at least they owned the "wokes".

Two political conversations are happening around disabled people in the UK right now. One is undermining our entitlement to life, and the other is championing our right to die. Echoes of eugenics.
