I wonder how my estranged brother, who railed against mRNA vaccines, feels about this news.
As public-health matter, RFK Jr’s moves against mRNA vaccines is a disaster.

As a political matter, don’t just blame Kennedy — also blame the 52 Senate Republicans who were supposed to protect us from RFK Jr, but who voted to confirm him anyway. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
Ignoring scientists’ pleas, RFK Jr. slashes investments in mRNA vaccines
Remember when Donald Trump celebrated mRNA-based vaccines as a “modern-day miracle”? That was before Robert F. Kennedy Jr. got to work.

We do not tax "to raise funds for government programs/spending" (for nations with fiat currencies). Taxing gives money, created through government spending, value.

Therefore the reason to tax the rich more is not to raise funds, it is to reduce their relative power. Full stop.

Hey @frame.work, is it possible to get a Linux lshw output published for your desktop?

It would be the most accurate and precise spec sheet.

I am particularly interested in iommu groups and virtualization. For example, is it possible to virtualize the GPU into a VM while still having a host GPU.

I had not thought about the side of tariff-driven inflation which we saw during COVID; uncompetitive industries gouging people under the guise of supply-chain issues. They were there, but profits skyrocketed because they could.

Same will happen with tariffs.

Wait 'til he finds out how Trump is defying Congress!
Schumer: "If he defies the Supreme Court, then we are in uncharted territory ... our entire democracy is at risk. I believe that if Donald Trump should defy the courts, the public will rise up. Democrats will fight it in every single way ... autocrats only succeed if the public lets them."

I'm amazed at all the people lecturing or chastising people for expressing anything "less than" mourning or condemnation in the murder of the UnitedHealth CEO. The arrogance and moral superiority is astounding.
