Tell the non-programmer: 50 year old code will have seen every weird edge case at some point, everything someone forgot could happen, and someone will have tried to fix it.
It ends up becoming *mostly* these fixes, as weird edge cases and bad assumptions are encountered and fixed.

I can’t recall a bar but there’s at least one coffee shop in the basement near the trains and hotel which are more the Korean style place to do that (A Twosome Place IIRC).
