Being accountable to an international court means our Government has to answer to them if it tries to undermine your human rights. Be very suspicious of any UK politician who wants to remove that check on their powers.

Oh, and while I'm banging the sporting drum (pun intended), could the US try and recall what honourable sporting etiquette is? The conduct during The Ryder Cup has been pretty disgraceful, and screaming profanity at Rory McIlroy is beneath contempt. If this is what you do to win, just stop playing.

Still wrapped up in absolute delight for England's brilliant Red Roses, winning a superb world cup against a very dangerous and skilled Canadian team. I suspect there might be a few sore heads this morning, but good on them, and well deserved. Hope they enjoy their hard earned rewards 🏉

Morning all. The world is truly mad and unstable right now, which is a depressing state of affairs. More on that later, but right now - how about some stuff to slow things down, and remind us we inhabit a beautiful environment?

Nigel Farage says abortion laws are “utterly ludicrous.”

Decriminalise abortion and make it a protected human right.
Women’s rights are under threat from the far right. Nigel Farage just called our current abortion provisions “utterly ludicrous” – and others in power are paying attention. A vote in Parliament could ...

Here it is. A timetable of 100 days of corruption.

Looks like Starmer and Macron are taking the lead on Ukraine, after Trump and Vance's contemptible antics. Hate how it has come to pass, but how good to see what appears to be genuine cooperation between European powers. Particularly as, sadly, France and UK are often at odds. More of this, please 🙏

“You [Ukraine] should have never started it” were his precise words. Started the illegal invasion of their own lands?

I see Farage is banging on about a political rally he intends to stage. Much like Trump, who loves them as it's just an extended opportunity for ego massaging.
Personally, these things both bore and disturb me. There's something sinister and 1930s Germany about these things. Strange days...
