Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge).

You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant *no matter what the ICE officer says.*

A fascinating little conservative media subplot of the past few months has been watching National Review types publicly beg Trump for a Supreme Court shortlist so that they can feel good about voting for him (again), except he doesn’t give a shit www.nationalreview.com/corner/trump...
Trump Teases a Judges List. It’s Overdue | National Review
His judicial selections were the highlight of his presidency, but the people involved in those selections now appear to be out of favor with Trump.

The Minnesota GOP endorsed an anti-semite for U.S. Senate. Republicans are silent.
Earlier this month, Congressman Tom Emmer (R-MN) blasted college students protesting Israel's military operations in Gaza. "By these students’ own admission, they’re not just standing in solidarity wi...

Here's a nasty story.

Meta had internal researchers tell them directly that taking like counts off of instagram would make users happier. Called it Project Daisy.

However because it'd hurt growth, Meta chose not to do it, and Adam Mosseri lied to the media that it didn't help that much.

‘“Shit, if only they’d have moved like that when my son was being murdered,” the father of a murdered Uvalde child tweeted above footage of Texas DPS officers in riot gear storming toward unarmed students at UT Austin.’
"These escalations against students are a choice. Police can be patient, even passive. The Texas DPS proved that when they loitered outside the ongoing slaughter of grade-schoolers."

The Kids The Guns Are For
The same police force that failed Uvalde children is arresting peaceful student protesters at UT Austin. It's not about safety. It's about order.

These campuses and cops are mobilizing more officers and with more force than they actually show up with to address and contain campus shooters.

Think about that.

I guess it’s easy to beat on people who won’t shoot back.

And for what? Sitting in a courtyard? lol.

Whats at stake is whether university communities can exercise autonomy over how they establish norms on campus. For the last decade we were told the norms were not supportive of speech. Now speech is triggering arrests.
A while back I wrote an article called "Delegitimization, Deconstruction and Control: Undermining the Administrative State." It was about public services, but the argument - that the far right will not tolerate institutions they cannot control - applies just as well to universities.
