My recently adult child made a comment shortly after TikTok went dark that his 7 yr old brother won’t understand any TikTok colloquial it’ll be like when I reference Vine to him.

I haven’t logged back into TikTok yet. Honestly I don’t know if I will. I do know I feel disconnected and that’s something they should study in the future. Was TikTok a valid connection as we thought or was it something artificial? A substance meant to make me addicted & now I am withdrawing.

I won’t ever get over the TikTok ban. I miss the communities I was a part of & the algorithm I tailored. I learned how to deconstruct so many destructive & oppressive ideologies in my life. It was more than an app to me. It was a portal to people, and I connected.

I was scrolling and just like that TikTok went down. Didn’t even make it to January 19th. Tiktok abruptly stopped at 7:36 pm PCT. It was a good run.

I am always impressed with the buzz and noise of cities. As someone who grew up in smaller towns and spaces the big city is always captivating.

Here because of a recommendation. Avid reader, random collector of information and experiences, hobby photographer just living an average millennial life.
