Republicans are prohibiting me from calling out their Members by name in committee.

But Americans should know that two of our own @energycommerce.bsky.social Committee Republican Members — Reps. Gabe Evans and John James— represent districts where a quarter of their constituents rely on Medicaid.

This is what a rigged economy looks like:

In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker.

In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker.

This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker.

That has got to change.

Loving this campaign in Grass Valley, CA by @thesixpac.bsky.social.

Plain messaging that cuts right to the core of an issue that affects both red and blue households alike.

By the way, still waiting on that in-person town hall, Rep. Kiley ⏰

Hear me out… what if we *didn’t* allow car traffic in every corner of every city?

What if we reclaimed some of our most valuable public space (in this case - a parkway near a lake) and ensured they were safe & comfortable for everyone who wants to walk, bike & roll?

I was just reading about the Swiss Supreme Court. Some good ideas, maybe they could be copied in the US.

The justices:

* are elected every 6 years (no limit on number of terms)

* have a maximum age: 69

Meet Trump's new best friend, Vladimir Putin.

At the heart of Putin’s rule are two forces: corruption & violence.

In Putin's Russia, there is no freedom of speech. Protests are violently suppressed. Dissidents are murdered. And the billionaire oligarchs become even richer.

I wonder how long Trump’s handlers will allow him to continue making unscripted public appearances.

Yes, some people agree with his knee-jerk racist shit. Yes, some people find it entertaining, and it makes for endless headlines.

But it also lets people see what a weird, mean, selfish guy he is.

Unlike Big Tech, Proton will not comply with subpoenas from the incoming Trump administration (just like we refused all subpoenas from the Biden administration), as it would be illegal under Article 271 of the Swiss criminal code.

The mainstream media may not discuss it, but here's the fact:

Three people —Musk, Bezos & Zuckerberg — now own more wealth than the bottom half of American society.

A handful of corporations control what is produced & the prices we pay.

Bluesky should have a policy about AI images, or a labeling system, or something.

Case in point: astronomy images. If I see beautiful real images, it stirs wonder in me. But my wonder stops coming out to play when 1/3 of the images are AI generated.

I never thought of America as an oligarchy, but I’m starting to see that it has been for a long time.

You’re rich? Buy political power and steer public opinion and profit from it.

You’re rich? The laws don’t apply the same to you and don’t worry, slaps on the wrist don’t hurt too much.
