Unlike CBS News, Frontline PBS ran their report recently on stories from some of the migrants sent to the notorious CECOT prison in El Salvador. Trump & his enablers can’t erase the truth about what happened. Watch the PBS piece.

The money for Trump’s “Warrior Dividends” has already been approved by Congress for troops so they can afford housing and basic living expenses.

Trump is NOT rewarding our service members with new bonuses, he’s just renaming funds that troops were already going to receive to score political points.
Trump will use military housing money for $1,776 Pentagon bonuses
The Trump administration will repurpose $2.6 billion in military housing assistance to pay $1,776 “warrior dividend” bonuses to service members, according to a senior administration official.

Despite bipartisan support for a vote on @housedemocrats.bsky.social’ bill to extend the health care tax credits for 20 million Americans, Republican leadership refused to hold a vote before premiums spike on January 1st. Shame on them.

A majority of Members in the House agree —we should extend the ACA tax credits so Americans can keep their health insurance. 214 Democrats and 4 Republicans.

Speaker Johnson canceled votes tomorrow…which means he should bring up a vote TODAY to extend the health care tax credits before they expire.

Health care is a biosecurity issue: if Americans don’t have access to health insurance, they are at greater risk of getting sick or dying from infectious diseases.

Last week, the FCC took a critical step to make emergency alerts available in more languages. This is a life-saving change for people in my community who don’t speak English fluently.

Americans should run as far and fast as they can from Republicans’ health care plan, which fails to help Americans afford their health insurance coverage.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social have a better option that would extend the tax credits for 3 years and help Americans afford their health care.

Urgent update.

Our bipartisan petition to force a vote on a straightforward extension of the Affordable Care Act tax credits now has 218 signatures.

Mike Johnson should bring the bill to the floor immediately.

Want to know how pathetic House Republicans are? They’re not even willing to hold a vote on an extension of the health care tax credits. They’d rather screw over the health and wellbeing of millions of working Americans.
House Republican leaders ditch vote on ACA funding, all but ensuring premiums will rise
Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Republicans worked on the issue throughout the weekend but could not come to an agreement with a group of members who want the funds extended.

• Made the largest cuts to Medicaid in history
• Jacked up Americans’ cost of living
• Shut down the government for 43 days

House Republicans’ proposed health care plan will take MORE money from Americans.

What do they offer in return? LESS. Less benefits. Less consumer protections. Less care.

Health care premiums will skyrocket in a few weeks because the tax credits that lower costs will expire.

Instead of extending the health care tax credits, Republicans have proposed a “plan” that will raise health care costs and cause millions of Americans to lose coverage.

Costs are already too high for hardworking Americans — they should not have to shell out $1000 or $2000 a month MORE for health insurance because of Republicans’ failure to act.

Today, a federal judge got it right when he ruled that Trump doesn’t get to send in the National Guard whenever he wants, like a dictator, to spread fear in the communities they are meant to serve.

The judge ruled the deployment of the National Guard to Los Angeles was illegal and must end.
