A while back on twitter I put together a thread of lots of tutorials that helped me as a novice when learning how to make optimized 3D assets in Blender for VRChat use so I went through and organized it all into a carrd for ease of access and so I can keep it organized in a better format.

I love how with a few exceptions like the One Ring, a lot of the magical items in Lord of the Rings have extremely simple effects like "flashlight" or "one way video call with no audio". Low fantasy settings really makes you appreciate when the fantasy elements appear.

This turned out way better than I had hoped in VRC. I was worried I wouldn't be able to capture the look I had in the render. It's also only 256 tris!

One of the things that gets lost in translation is how rhythmic & fun to read the prose of the original Journey to the West is.
