#RecipeOfTheDay comes from The Royal Marsden Cancer Cookbook. I was asked to contribute, and it was an honour to do so in support of this great hospital. Obviously, I make no curative claims for my soup, but I can promise it provides comfort and tastes delicious www.nigella.com/recipes/caul...

As a longtime listener to the BBC World Service I couldn’t agree more.

The maelstrom of news this past week alone has been a timely reminder of its incredible depth and range of journalistic excellence.

The World Service really is a rare gem in broadcasting, double or triple the spending on it! 🎙️
BBC's Tim Davie to the Public Accounts Ctte this week on the World Service:
"I think the UK should be spending double the amount on this service. Look what China and Russia are doing. It is absolutely paramount we invest in a unique, precious strategic asset."
... But domestic services come first.

We all have our own traditions: one of mine is the time-honoured pairing of my Christmas ham with these Spiced Peaches that are #RecipeOfTheDay! I’m talking tinned or jarred peaches, obviously, though those in the Southern Hemisphere have the good fortune of fresh. www.nigella.com/recipes/spic...
Spiced Peaches
I've used bottled peaches, I've used canned peaches, and it honestly doesn't matter which, but I'm afraid you have to resist the healthier peaches canned in fruit juice rather than syrup. If you can f...

I so adore #RecipeOfTheDay, it’s hard not to sound unattractively boastful when I talk about it. But truly, this Luscious Vegan Gingerbread does have something miraculous about it. It’s dark, sumptuous, squidgy and simply divine – I named it luscious for a reason! www.nigella.com/recipes/lusc...

I'd recommend the history festival to anyone local - but also to my fellow historians as a really nice thing to do if you're invited.

And if more people in the world were like Tom, and more social enterprises like The Long Table / The Old Dept Store existed then we'd all be in a much better place.
