All joking aside, I am really proud of Ireland today.

Today the Irish government tried to overturn democratic norms and our opposition parties put aside their differences, presented a united front, and refused to be steamrolled.

Verona Murphy must go, her position is completely untenable. Hopefully the opposition can either derail things enough to prevent government nomination today or get themselves all thrown out of the chamber. #GE24 #IrishPolitics #SpéirGorm

I already hated Ebert but oh my God what an absolute melt. The embodiment of the 🤓 emoji but backed by fascist militias.

I really should keep studying for my final exam but I picked up Caves of Qud last night and played it for nearly three straight hours, I can't stop thinking about it now. It's soooooo good.

you have to understand. there’s a really good reason for why they are exempting him from the code of conduct the rest of us are expected to abide by. it’s such a good reason we’re not even allowed to know what it is
it’s cool how we’re all peons and jesse singal is the only bluesky user the team cares about

Wow, they're actually in Damascus already. Hopefully HTS aren't too bad, their recent talk about reform and national unity is promising if they're telling the truth. Hopefully the worst case scenario of a complete collapse into infighting like Libya can be avoided. #Syria

3.1%, quite a good result. Well done to all the PBP candidates for a strong campaign. Well done to the SocDems especially too, that's a great performance. #GE24

This shouldn't be drowned out by the poll.

This is why the far right can never be treated as part of normal politics. They, at core, want to inflict violence on others. They are the real threat to civil society.

Solidarity with Kellie and her team.
Gardai are investigating allegations far right candidate Philip Dwyer assaulted the father of a rival candidate in Bray on Sunday. Photographs and video show him producing an extendable baton during the incident

Vote left, transfer left tomorrow. Have hope for a new Ireland, don't let apathy win. The hopelessness from the idea that they can't be beaten is FFG's strongest weapon, if we try hard enough we can finally rid ourselves of them #GE24.

Well that was abysmal. It's not really a debate when each leader is asked different questions, also why is Miriam O'Callaghan still a part of them considering her massive conflict of interest? #GE24

Who do people think would be a less bad mudguard for FFG assuming they don't have a majority between themselves, Labour or the Greens again? I'm not considering Independent Ireland or individual Independents because that would obviously be the worst possibility. #GE24

Starter packs feel like such an obvious idea once you find out about them that it's amazing they haven't been done before. Afaik that is, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
