As a future dental hygienist, I plan to use nutrition education to help patients understand how everyday food and drink choices affect their oral health. This course taught me that nutrition looks different for everyone, so considering access, cost, culture, and lifestyle is important.

I believe this is true because every time I eat French fries or baked potatoes I get a overwhelming feeling of happiness
Sad? Have you tried eating a potato about it? French fries, roasted, mashed, baked, tater tots, hash browns, scalloped, gnocchi, chips, hasselback. The possibilities of happiness are endless. 😋🥔🍠🍟

His story changed my perspective by showing how a consistent habit of eating a Chick-fil-A salad can cause a major lifestyle shift. For clients, I think it is good to focus on small, realistic changes and approach the situation with empathy. One major step can help completely change someone's life.

This is a post that needs to be shared on all social media platforms. I think when people go on a diet, they automatically think about which foods are "bad" for them and which are "good," when in reality, this is a habit to have because this can slowly progress into an eating disorder
PSA: You don’t have to earn your food. It’s not a reward for being “good” or punishment for being “bad.”

One thing I noted from the video is that James talks about how he points out that poverty is the main reason why the children are obese in the United States. Also, there is a genetic factor called leptin, a gene linked to obesity. @beh353.bsky.social

This post has helped me learn that when seafood says it's fresh, it really isn't because it has been frozen before being sold to preserve it, and then defrosted to be sold "fresh," and then they up the price because of it @beh353.bsky.social

I chose Lack of time to plan, shop, prepare, and cook healthy foods, as a college student, partially can say I do this Sundays are my reset days, and I either make a meal prep for lunch that is healthy but sometimes I feel too overwhelmed to do it so I just buy something from dunkin, which is easier

I love this post because I love cinnamon buns and this is a nice way to look at it when eating a sweet treat @beh353.bsky.social
Cinnamon buns: part dessert, part stress relief. If you’re eating one today, don’t overthink it. Enjoy it! Nutrition isn’t ruined by a pastry. It’s built on habits, not single moments. #RealWorldNutrition #FoodWithoutGuilt #CinnamonWins

I looked into the Keto diet after watching the lecture. It’s supposed to make your body burn fat instead of carbs by putting you into ketosis. It definitely promises quick weight loss. I found that keto cuts out a lot of fruits and grains, which can lead to vitamin and fiber deficiencies.

This helps me understand why dietitians say that whole grains are better then refined grains or white rice and will think about when I am preparing my meals
Whole grains give more than just fiber. They provide vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds stripped away in refined grains. Swapping white rice for brown or choosing oats over sugary cereals are small changes that add up for better health. #RealWorldNutrition

I think my 24-hour food recall is pretty accurate. I usually eat the same things every day because I meal prep for school. One thing I noticed is that I didn't eat much fruit/veggies this day like I usually do, I'm going to make sure I pack fruits/veggies for the rest of the week. I also noticed my
