You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

The Trump admin is having guys in hoodies throw students into unmarked cars for writing dissenting op-eds and Democrats are still confirming its nominees. Universities are bowing to its demands. NPR is saying it should add more Republicans to its staff.

We're nearing the end of that slippery slope
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

In which the Department of Homeland Security struggles to answer a very simple question: "Is any criticism of the United States government a deportable offense?"

Executive Order designating February "Heart Month" in 2025 by this leader makes perfect sense because it is the tiniest month.

For those interested, go into your Spotify, search Carrie Underwood, click the three dots, click do not play this artist. I know that this seems like a David and Goliath battle but every little bit of resistance matters.
The root of this is and always has been money and that’s where we resist.

America's richest 10% now hold 60% of the nation's wealth.

The bottom half of America? It holds just 6%.

Wealth inequality is eating this country alive.

Call it:
"Government Efficiency Department"

Why:
1) less words (more efficient)

2) initialism becomes GED (gee-ee-dee), rather than (!!!)referring people to a cryptocurrency(!!!).

It's an infuriating trick being pulled on media, the public, and even the president. Stop FALLING FOR IT.

Since Donald Trump announced his intention of appointing Kash Patel as the director of the F.B.I., critics have warned that we’re heading back to the bad old days of J. Edgar Hoover. The reality could be much worse, Beverly Gage writes.
Kash Patel vs. J. Edgar Hoover
If Trump’s pick for F.B.I. head gets confirmed, the Bureau could be politicized in ways that even its notorious first director would have rejected.

Yes, there are lots of negatives around the Pete Hegseth nomination -- the rampant alcoholism, the allegations of sexual assault, the hush money payment to an accuser, the total incompetence leading non-profits, and so on.

But ask yourself:

Does all that outweigh the total lack of positives?
