When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I was chatting with Copilot. It told me that one large large language model (AI) data centre would use the same electricity as 22.2 million electric vehicles, each of which could do about 20,000 kilometers per year. Could that be right?

Hmmm, I have to say that with all the budget carnage going on in the USA the appeal of becoming the 51st state is waning. Let's see, higher debt to GDP, credit downgrade, less medical coverage, higher taxes on the poor and lower on the rich. Tempting, but no. I will happily stick with Canada.

I just successfully walked my 85-year-old Father-in-Law through removing and reinstalling an older Canon wireless printer/scanner in Windows 11 - VIA FACETIME. I'm sure this guarantees me access to heaven, regardless of what I do for the rest of my life.

It is sad. The USA used to be a great nation. It used to stand for something despite its faults. Now it is a bully. Not it lauds authoritarians and tyrants. Canada, along with the rest of the Western world is watching. None of us will forget. So sad.

Always support adoption over puppy/cat mills and farms. The best pets are mixed breed pets.
My parents adopted Purrcy a couple months ago so this was his first Christmas.
