I think it’s hopeful (and telling) that Gaetz withdrew after he reportedly “lacked the necessary votes” in the Senate with little (public) drama and without an online tantrum from Trump or Elon, reiterating their demand for recess appointments.
Enough senators were willing to stand up to Trump and oppose Gaetz to tank his nomination as AG. A small sign of hope for our country?
