Christopher Anderson might be my new favourite photographer because his portfolio includes some truly incredible photos, yet the Vanity Fair photos of the Trump admin are an absolute hit job.

This season, we’re not buying Starbucks while @sbworkersunited.org baristas are on strike. That means more than skipping lattes: not buying Starbucks means no beans, no bearista cups, and NO GIFT CARDS. This year, it’s time to give something else: working class solidarity. Let’s talk about it>🧵 1/8

The image of Kristi Noem at CECOT and the saga of the Venezuelans the US government exiled to a notorious gulag should be seared into America's collective memory.

But displays of inhumanity were a normalized phenomenon in 2025.
A year of hell for immigrants
In the first Trump administration, cruelty was the point. Now, it is the norm.

Wherever Starbucks is, we’ll continue to bring our picket lines there, too. ✊

Don’t say “cure” when what you mean is “breed out.” Curing suggests finding ways to treat or accommodate for people who are living with a disability so that their lives are not impeded. The ad is for genetically engineering children and that is eugenics, full stop.

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.

Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder
No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

My great uncle contracted polio while serving in the Royal Air Force in 1954. He ended up living for over a decade in an iron lung before he passed. One year after he got sick, the vaccine was available to the general public. I often wonder what he thought then and how appalled he would be now.
Before the rollout of the polio vaccine in the 1950s, the disease paralyzed or killed more than 500,000 people worldwide every year.

The darker chapters of public health history do not seem to faze anti-vaccine activists, who are now downplaying polio.
