I was amused by this paper about asking AIs to manage a vending machine business by email in a simulated environment https://arxiv.org/abs/2502.15840

Highlights:

— AI simply decides to close the business, which the simulation doesn’t know how to accommodate. When they get their next bill, they […]

there's something very entertaining about being obsessed with c/asm and hating rust while they unironically deploy gitweb in 2025 and their CLI is so obtuse I see people using LLMs for it. tech mindset stuck in in the 2000s

UBI is one of those things where they constantly "test" it, the results are always wildly positive, everybody involved acts shocked, and then it gets put back on the shelf until the next test, when the results are wildly positive, everybody acts shocked, then it gets put back til the next test, resu

It's Throwback Thursday, and I'm remembering the late nights of testing in Utah with Northeastern's Mars Rover Team (part of Students for Exploration and Development of Space) leading up to the University Rover Challenge!

We've improved a lot from 2022 to 2024! #NUGivingDay

My favorite #NUGivingDay cause is Students for Exploration and Development of Space! SEDS project teams such as Rover, Lunabotics, and SUITS represent Northeastern at a variety of competitions across the country. Funding helps SEDS travel to these competitions!

This #NUGivingDay, I'm sharing a Husky Milestone: Teaching my first Splash course with Northeastern Students for Exploration and Development of Space!

Super proud of my friends on SEDS for bringing this together, it was lots of fun and something I've wanted to do for years!

trans healthcare is either:
- hostile endocrinologist that hasn't learned anything new since 1985 and hates you for questioning his majestic wisdom
- confused PA that is only allowed to follow guidelines written by transphobic doctors in 1963
- cartoon mad scientist man

you get no other choices
okay this man is Crazy crazy

i built a web tool to recolor KiCAD SVG exports to look more like the final board!

- tweaks colors to match real life
- inverts the soldermask layer
- mirrors the back side

give it a spin! export an SVG from KiCAD with the Cu, silk mask, and edgecut layers and upload to kicad-pretty.breq.dev

ooh this is fun! did a review of mine: breq.dev/2025/03/10/w...

takeaways so far:
- wow, somehow i managed crazy SEO for the fast inverse square root article
- it turns out that course on network science i took was actually useful!
- someone's actually using a toy social network i made in 2021??
fun pastime: type your domain into GitHub code search. you find a lot of fun stuff!
