hrm you're not gonna like this boss, just got this memo from corporate saying that the hypomanic all-nighters are morally impermissible because they're preventing the prosecution of dreams within which real entities might experience utility. we're gonna have to inject you with minidonk tranquilizers. I said "minidonk." it's short for "miniature donkey." look we don't have all night, get stomach-down on the chair so I can prick your left cheek with this comically large injector. it's time to have another high-school dream so two of your grade-12-friend-thoughtforms can secretly smooch each other off-screen. yeah you won't be aware of it happening bc you'll be busy trying to submit a math test to your teacher's laggy online portal despite being in the same room as him and holding the PDF in real life. ugh don't ask me how I know all this, I'm just guessing and we happen to be in the timeline where I'm always right because I live by the policy of ending myself whenever I'm wrong, thus by quantum immortality rules... hm, looks like the tranq's not working. maybe if we do some guided meditation? no? you find it too vulnerable-making? what if I just feed you warm milk? ok. I'll be back in two hours, our microwave is working at .1% power.

if you want to write unlike LLMs you'll want to write unlike the following things: - press releases - app changelogs - internal emails - all probable text here's ways you can do it: - order words of place your out - end your sentences such that they don't go where you'd expect the southwest airlines cookie tray has used toilet paper on it :( - say something aggressive and maladaptive that RLHF would never allow such as—(last twenty or so words are censored) - construct a consistent alternate reality completely causally disconnected from us, invent language to describe the new nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and then use those words and phrases in your everyday speaking

LLMs are constrained not just by what is statistically likely, but also what is economically feasible. before LLMs, text written by hired hands already had a consistent, flat tone/style, because to use a different one adds cost. the mechanization of anything, the industrialization of anything for the purposes of creating mass amounts of the thing means all variations are lost of the sake of sameness and consistency. people can injection mould a stacking chair. one plastic chair injection moulding machine can make one million chairs in 20 seconds. do you know what kind of chair you won't see a million of? an execution chair that is icarly themed. do you know why? because nobody wants that. so make it.

the most ineffable thing 2 me is experience itself and nobody talks about it despite how close-at-hand it is—the closest ineffable thing is literally yrself! makes me feel crazy that it's so rarely spoken abt in a spiritual context. it literally chokes me up how incomprehensible it is to have qualia
