Finally, an experienced MS group performed a proper comparison of MS plasma proteomics vs. Olink! Kudos to the Coon lab! Cannot wait to read all the details!
Nice review of plasma proteomics methods by Josh Coon and his group . However the perchloric acid treatment of plasma will lead to the formation of cysteic acid and methionine sulphone which is not mentioned for the DIA search. .https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2025.01.08.632035v1

New Astral news: The recommended PC for running ProteomeDiscoverer w/CHIMERYS running from Ardia is almost as powerful as the Ardia server itself... for some reason...

Heads up #TeamMassSpec US/Canada potential Orbitrap Astral purchasers: If you get the top tier Ardia server you need 5 (!!) 240V 20 A outlets with the twisty plugs (NEMA L6-20). So get your electricians on speed dial!
