We hear it's #HandwritingDay, obviously no examples of handwriting survive from the Mary Rose (well, not from the wreck site anyway - see the next post), but we did find an inkpot with a couple of feather quill tips, suggesting that one of the crew was writing letters home.

One of the coolest things about publishing a book in Norway is that the gov will automatically buy 1k copies, 1.5K if its a children's book, these will then be distributed to all the libraries.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a man in possession of a good number of books, must be in want of a bookcase.

I'm looking to move away from the standard, white, IKEA Billy bookcases. Anyone have any recommendations?

"13 Yule Lads" is the name of my Netflix Holiday Romcom
Stekkjastaur, the first of Iceland’s 13 Yule Lads, comes down from the mountains tonight. All the children put a shoe in the window that he will put a treat or a little gift in - if they have been good that is. The bad children get a potato.

How dare they not include us in a scheme we opted out of!

No…papers like The Express persuaded people to vote for BREXIT and this is part of the result!

And why did they do that? Because Europe was looking into their owners tax havens and of course they didn’t like that did they?!
