Nearly two years ago, the company that owns Trump's Truth Social sued the Guardian, Forbes, Reuters and more than a dozen other news orgs for defamation, over supposedly misrepresenting their financials.

Yesterday, Trump's company dropped their case altogether

Boy, North Carolina Republicans sure don't want the attached story to circulate. I sure hope that this stupid threat from their spokesperson doesn't boomerang on them and have a lot more people read and share the story, which once again, is conveniently attached below. That would be a shame.

Wait, this was a Prince cover?!
Chaka Khan releases her version of Prince’s classic “I Feel for You” 41 years ago today.

The intro repeating her name became iconic, but “I was embarrassed,” she said later. “I didn’t like anybody saying my name over. I said, ‘I gotta live with this.’”

That a person that tall can have as calm a body swinging at a baseball is amazing. Dave Winfield almost won a batting title (lost to Mattingly last day pf season, if I recall) and you'd see every joint and limb sway half a dozen times as he swung
Let's drop some scouting notes ahead of BOS/NYY

Aaron Judge just posted a 215 OPS+.

That's his third time topping 200. (Only 4 AL/NL hitters ever with more.)

It's the 4th-best righty batter season ever. It gives him two of the top four, and three of the top eight. stathead.com/tiny/0SA1J

Sometimes i feel like we underrate him somehow?

I am so happy that 1968-2001 me isn't here to see to this
The New York Mets' collapse is one of the worst you'll ever see. Despite being 21 games over .500 in June and owning baseball's best record at the time, the Mets failed to make the playoffs. Making things worse, no one "chased" them down. They just blew it.

Your chart really shows a problem with the start of August. The more accurate (sophisticated) charting would've shown a breakdown starting August 4.

Huh. I don't remember the federal government asking me what flavor of "white" I am before. This list of what are I think meant to be ethnicities also seems really arbitrary, and doesn't map out onto ethnicities per se. (This is for an NSF annual personnel report for a graduate training program.)
