The networks took the much smaller Tea Party movement so seriously they broadcast a Tea Party rebuttal to Obama’s 2011 SOTU on top of the normal GOP one.
Reminder: We spent YEARS reading thousands and thousands of articles on the Tea Party and how it was a true expression of the American people's will, and it never mounted anything nearly as big as Saturday's No Kings rallies. [1/3]

A critical premise of the work of the 14th Amendment Center is that we are all founders & framers of the future of democracy in this country.

Prof. Kate Andrias channels that spirit in this excellent op-ed.

I have always thought that Brian Mast cosplaying as an Israeli soldier was disgusting.

Seeing as how he is likely drawing VA benefits, it was particularly irksome to me.

Not sure it’s illegal (our laws always seem to bend to the will of Israel), but it sure is unseemly.

When the writer I hired, Jamal Khashoggi was murdered by Saudi Arabia, they paraded me around as a symbol for press freedom.

I put MY LIFE on the line to defend journalism and WaPo.
weird that neither of these articles two main stories decrying censorship mention WaPo's firing of @karenattiah.bsky.social I guess democracy really does die in darkness
