I was so relieved that the fallout show was good. it understood the ethos of fallout* in a way that the newer games definitely don't

In real life, my goal was to make the equivalent of what the Acclamator and the Venator are to the Imperial Star Destroyer. I wanted them to have designs that work on their own. The Mk1 resembles the more artropod designs of early separatist ships, while the Mk2 resembles the ships of Episode III.

My in-universe explanation is that Bulwark was created as a huge armored transport ship, with several hangars an a lot of cargo space.
After the war started,the Techno Union changed it to be a cruiser like the Providence or the Recusant.
And finally the Rebels used the Mk3 as a moving space station.
