I've never had to apologize for being white. Is someone asking me to apologize for being white? Is this all a bunch of total bullshit?

I saw someone on Twitter post that she began her journey of healing from sexual abuse and addiction after reading about James Ransone's journey. She said she wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for him. That's pretty amazing.

Ransone was an inspiration to many by talking about his abuse & addictions. When I say that Ransone appearing in Ken Park may have hurt him in his adult life I'm not blaming Clark for his suicide. But watch Ken Park and tell me that being in a Larry Clark film like that was healthy for anyone in it.

I'm against censorship. As long as it's legal, art shouldn't be censored...with one exception. Ken Park should not exist.

Larry Clark made James Ransone do some pretty fucked up scenes when Ransone was very very young. I wonder if that affected him in some way later in his adult life. Wouldn't be the first person whose life Larry Clark hurt by appearing in one of his movies.

RIP to James Ransone. He added a lot of heart to It Chapter Two. And he was in one of the most disturbing film scenes ever in Ken Park. A one-of-a-kind talent. Very sad.

Doug Jones is brilliant and he hopefully will be a great Attorney General under the next Democratic president, but I don't think he has any chance at all of getting within 10 points of becoming governor of Alabama.
The last time Alabama elected a Democrat for governor was 1998. But other Democrats like John Bel Edwards and Andy Beshear have proven that good candidates can turn gubernatorial mansions blue, even in the reddest of states. How about Doug Jones?
If Any Dem Can Be Governor of Alabama, It’s This Guy. It Still May Take a Miracle.
Running against Tommy Tuberville may not seem like a major challenge. But it is in the deep-red South.

There's something sociologically insightful about the popularity of six seven. Kids are going to say and do annoying things which sometimes don't have any meaning. It's a universal truth. Kids have always said annoying nonsensical things and they always will... and adults will always be irritated.

Quentin Tarantino is a fucking amazing filmmaker! Quentin Tarantino is a fucking douchebag! See everyone? It's easy.

I wish we could just agree that Quentin Tarantino publicly insulting Paul Dano's acting abilities was something only a self-centered asshole would say in an interview. Can we also agree that Paul Dano is a good actor? Can we all agree that Quentin Tarantino makes good films? That's the end of that.

You know who's a really terrible actor? Quentin Tarantino.

Best irony ever is that Paul Dano and Matthew Lillard are, at least for the last few days, the two most highly praised actors by their peers in Hollywood.
December 7, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Paul Dano has made a ton of interesting small independent movies that many people haven't seen. It's worth it for people to check out more of his stuff.

You can watch War of the Worlds on Amazon Prime anytime.
You can watch a movie pretty much any time. There is a lot of movies now and you can watch them even on a phone. So if you ever want to do something like watch a movie remember you can do that. Pretty much whenever you want to actually. Movies: there’s lot of them

At 17, Gary Tyler was sentenced to death by an all white jury for a crime he didn’t commit. He was released from prison at age 57, after spending 42 years behind bars.

Wrongful convictions are a feature, not a bug, of the death penalty. We must end it once and for all.

Tyler’s case shows how bias, fear, and discrimination drive wrongful convictions — and why confronting racial injustice in the legal system remains urgent today.
