What a night! 🥹
Look how happy they are. They deserve it. Arteta deserve it. We deserve it 🫶

'In the difficult moments, the tree is going to shake, so my job is to convince everybody that this is how we are going to live.'

This week's column, on a season where the tree has shaken, nights like Tuesday are as much about the culture Arteta has built, as well as the team and the tactics 👇🔴⚪️

Striker or no striker, we get this guy and it's curtains for the league.
Joshua Kimmich in the Champions League this season:

◉ Most touches (1324)
◉ Most accurate final third passes (340)
◉ Most chances created (35)
◉ Joint most accurate crosses (22)
◉ Most big chances created (11)

I think my heart would be full with a forward that has the confidence of Rice. Miss a clearance, tackle or an interception? Shrug it off and take stance because he trusts his abilities to win the ball back. Our number nines seem too humble by comparison.

It’s been a tiring season, full of weirdness. We missed White for four months, Saka for four, Ode for a dozen games, Merino at the start when he was learning the team, Kai for what will be 15 games and cups. We are in 2nd, 10 clear of 5th, and in the CL QF.

It’s one hell of a job by MA, the squad.

Our three leftbacks combined for a shot on goal, one as a striker, another as a midfielder, and the other as a winger. Mikel's dream team

It'd be a great idea if Arsenal thought about scoring a goal

Arsenal have gone 15 Premier League games unbeaten for the first time since April 2011 under Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal must sign a disappointing left 8 every summer, so they can become a highly impactful striker in every February

What a ball from Nwaneri. And Merino just underlining what he was bought in for.

The bolder underline though is, hope thats the last we see of Sterling.

I never thought I'd see the day Ayew got a yellow against us, but here we are

For all the talk about us signing only players who can have an immediate impact, us feeling that Sterling is part of that select list of players is.. pretty damning

This is what its going to be like for about a month isn't it? We are up against arguably the third worst team in the league, and we are struggling to get even a single corner.
First one in minute 35.

Yeap that's exactly what we didn't want. We could have lost 10 0 for all I care. An injury to an attacker was THE one thing we cannot afford, and there it is.

The optics of this are terrible and should spark a serious discussion. I can’t believe the clowns in charge of this league could be so detached that they don’t even consider the worrying optics of this whatsoever.
Tony Scholes #PremierLeague chief football officer: I think we all like to see celebrations. Some of the celebrations have been very funny, entertaining, but there’s a line. Once it crosses over into mockery or criticism, then we would need to deal with it.” [Sky sports]

This is quite steep, and I wouldn't want us to blow 70m on a player who's not ready now. We have moved past buying promising players imo.
It's a tough phase tho, we need them young enough, we need them ready enough, and we need them good enough. I'm certainly glad I'm not calling the shots.
Tottenham will pay Bayern a loan fee of €10m for Mathys Tel and cover a 5-month worth of his salary (around €2m). Option to buy in summer worth €55m fixed plus €5m add-ons. Tel made sure he will have the final say on whether to join Spurs permanently
