Ngl I can’t stand being on X anymore, it’s incredibly depressing and overwhelming with so much right wing and AI slop

It's so confusing ... ICE agents are acting like criminals, and criminals are posing as ICE agents.

the irony of Brexit is that it ended up making UK politics look much more like European ones, albeit still stuck with a voting system that totally fails at this level of party split
Notable in today's YouGov that the centre/left bloc - Lab/Green/LD/SNP are on 54%. With Reform/Tories on 43%. That's the biggest differential in a long time.

I think useful to track blocs given instability between parties at the moment.

uk politics be like "regrettably we cannot give a child so much as a grain of rice for free, since our economy has been so damaged by child starvation that we cannot afford it"
american politics be like "i'll kill myself live on camera before a child gets so much as a grain of rice for free" vs "i think we can all agree that other guy makes some good points"

The UK lost £11 BILLION to multinational corporations cheating on their taxes from 2016 to 2021.

Who's robbed us? Our govts know— they have the tax records— but have kept them from the public due to a US-backed global gag order. #NameTheTaxCheaters

This speech from Rachel Reeves is kind of frustrating because it shows that the Government can command the airwaves when it wants

That's something it has almost totally failed to do so far - over challenging racism, boosting the laws it has passed, tackling Reform, rebutting Tory ILR plans, etc etc
