Do you think if I said that I didn't succumb and buy an Aldi rat ,that it just followed me home, I'd be believed?

A festive read with Holly, a recent divorcee, taking a break before setting out a new life. But then she meets May, Bear and Lisa and her life opens up. Not quite as fun as I usually find these books, some parts seemed to trail on. Maybe I've just read too many too close together.

After I had breast cancer, and was told that I could no longer give blood, my daughter told me that she would step in and take my place. Nine years on she still goes every time. She's back there again today. I am so proud of you @amberelizabeth.bsky.social xxx

Militarism is a major driver of climate change. Expanding spending on weapons of war is self-defeating, driving insecurity and conflict while diverting resources away from tackling root causes of war.

We maintain our commitments to peace and to climate justice, and see these goals as inseparable.
Quakers join global call to expose hidden military emissions at COP30
As global leaders meet in Brazil for COP30, Quakers and others are urging them to confront the climate impact of war and rising military spending.

A lovely lunch out with my cousin today. The conversation turned to our Mums and the lovely Christmases of our childhoods. Somehow we left happier to remember how blessed we were.

Good morning. Wishing you all a wonderful day. Keep looking for the good out there. It is there. Don't let all the negativity in the news and on some social media convince you otherwise. Be kind out there xx

Red Squirrel

With snow falling, I decided to spend a few hours at the woodland hide, and it was magical.

Email me if you'd like to book a day at this hide.

I'm definitely not made for winter. I struggle with the gloomy days, I struggle with the long dark nights and I struggle with the cold. I'm always tired too. I really should be able to hibernate!
