Own that fraud 👏
We take no joy criticising a young left-wing UK political figure who has often spoken up for workers' rights and progressive causes. But these barely coherent comments from Zarah Sultana on Ukraine sum up much of what is wrong with her wing of the left www.instagram.com/reel/DQT62ys...

Good morning! It’s a perfect day to realize that the politics you’re used to are gone and never coming back so you can either think about what you want the future to look like and try to build toward that or keep trying to wishcast the country back to 1998 and be part of the problem.

I've written to British Transport Police asking for clarity on the specific changes they've made to their policy following the Supreme Court ruling.

With EHRC guidance still pending, it's vital we understand how these decisions were made and what they mean in practice.

Today Altmetric is announcing a major development in collaboration with the Brain Occipital Lobe Learning Observation Centre Kalhausen-Strasbourg.

From today Altmetric will be able to determine what research paper you're thinking of, regardless of what you're actually writing/saying.

🧵 NEW: Is Britain really a high tax country?

Our collective tax bill is at its highest share of GDP since the 1940s

But actually, the tax and NI paid by the average worker are at their lowest in decades.

What’s going on?

Very disappointing to see that my MP has joined the likes of George Galloway in tacitly supporting the rape, murder and ethnic cleansing of Ukrainian civilians.

If that money was going to Palestine, you'd rejoice. Rightfully so.

Utterly pathetic and unprincipled.
What the government can’t afford:

❌Lifting children out of poverty
❌Disability benefits
❌Compensation for WASPI women
❌Winter fuel allowance

What the government can afford: an extra £13.4 billion on the military.

Never any money for the poor. Always enough money for war.

the russians started the war in ukraine. in 2014.

the americans and europeans are complicit in not taking that seriously. for nearly a decade they continued business with russia as usual, acting as if the territorial integrity of a european nation didn’t need to be defended.

But on all measurable accounts the US economy is good? The only thing uncharacteristically high is the national debt but that's hardly a signifier of the strength of the economy both as a whole and for individual Americans?
the US libs can't believe the economy is bad because there was a blue president too recently. once the red president has been in there a while they will mysteriously come around

The most frustrating thing about continuing failure to skewer Farage is that his grasp of detail is non-existent. It’s why he gets petulant when exposed to even mildly decent questions. Interviewers just need to zone in on one element of the bullshit & interrogate it until his ignorance is exposed.
Farage on #r4today decrying the increase in costs & red tape since Brexit & calling for Brexit to be “done properly”.
No longer part of the customs union/single market -both of which simplified bureacracy- the costs & red tape on trade have ofc ballooned.
Why was this not put to him directly?

The world should unite and isolate you regardless. The American electorate have proven they can not be trusted as the world's superpower.

When China is a more reliable ally and less destructive to the West, something is very wrong.
Gaza doesn't belong to Israel, it doesn't belong to the US & it doesn't belong to the intl community. Gaza belongs to PALESTINIANS. If the US follows through with its imperialist conquest the world should unite and isolate us. We've set dangerous precedents that can't hold for the future of humanity
