Non-disabled people don’t understand how expensive it is to be disabled. The government doesn’t give us everything for free. Medications could be hundreds of dollars. Mobility aids could be tens of thousands. Medical equipment could be hundreds of thousands. That’s just the necessary stuff.

No matter your station in life, there is astoundingly little separating you from those men in that cage behind Kristi Noem. No charges, no attorneys, no hearings, no trial. Just conjecture and brute force could be enough to justify completely dehumanizing you, too.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

I can’t stop thinking about the kidney transplant doctor who was deported in spite of a court order protecting her.

This is just the beginning. When people are disappeared without warning, there are significant ripple effects.

VERY important PSA. This includes all kinds of lilies, including those orange daylilies that grow everywhere. Don’t put them in your house if you have a cat, even out of reach— the pollen itself is very poisonous to them.
It’s that time of year-

Short and sweet-LILIES KILL CATS

Lilies are one of the most dangerous plants out there when it comes to cats. Just brushing against them can cause kidney failure and a horrible, painful death.

If they survive, it can be a 5 figure vet bill, and days at the hospital 1/

Seems to me what we’re seeing across the federal government are the dividends being paid from years of adopting market language to talk about public goods. Run government like a business? Businesses exist to make profit. Government exists to serve the people. We’re about to see the difference now.
