Ok I really like this song that Shachi sang, so much so that I quickly recorded my own version of it 🙈
I don't *love* it, but it's the first time I recorded and mixed my vocals to the point where I'm quite happy with how it turned out!

dragon lady next to me at the second life rave was too close and her wings kept clipping through my player model. I didn't mind but she apologied each and every time it happened. chat was filled with hundreds of variations of "oop sowwie >_<!! xoxo" and "uaah! not again! orz" by the end of the night

I was lucky enough to attend one of his workshops and he said basically if he understands an object he can draw it from any angle. And then he showed us his drawing callus that he had to sand down every now and then and I realized that none of the rest of us are drawing nearly enough.

Explaining to someone that drawing is making lots of decisions. Every line is a decision, so's I decided to count them for fun* and that's a lotta lines.

I think part of the challenge with games here is that we haven't fully decided if they're art or entertainment.
Part of that comes from games possibly being an unprecedentedly broad medium.
Part of it is about the relationship between creator and audience + how easy it is to edit digital goods.

Honestly, I think this “time is money” mindset that a lot of folks have with art is weird to me, because it implies that you will simply get a static amount of “value” out of a certain amount of time with a piece of art, no matter what it is.(1/2)
