I know for many this is a much more common occurrence but in my little blue bubble town I rarely see someone wearing MAGA gear in public. I saw someone today and I really wanted to say something. To break her sense of complete dissociation from the anti-social violence. What to say?

Really important point! While Trump telegraphed these moves before becoming President, he said he’d do it by passing laws. These executive orders are because he can’t.
Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don’t be glum about the long, cold winter. Look around: the trees are busy, not sleeping. When the temperature permits, cells in this bud are dividing, maturing into flowers, leaves, stems. The cambium, maker of all the trees, is preparing for its spring festivities. Be like a tree: keep growing.

Facebook exiles: I hate to say it but that platform has 15 years of my thoughts, memories, photos that I hate to lose. Any suggestions on how to preserve those before deleting my account? Hopefully this doesn’t mean hours and hours of screenshots.
